Every writer yearns to be published, that's a given. But having your novel made into a movie, if you are a writer of fiction this is the ultimate wish. How cool would it be to have Javier Bardem Or Eva Mendes play characters from your book! Therefor having a creative interest in movies and producers is part of a writer's game.
I was reading an article about the Coen brothers which made me laugh. Having won four Oscars previously for No Country For Old Men, they said they found their success frightening. Talking about finding themselves at the Academy Awards they said, "You wonder what you did wrong."
Ha! Well if doing things wrong is the ingredient for success there's hope for me yet!

Excellent choices I'd have to say. When that movie starts filming there any chance of me getting an invite to the set and an intro to Eva? Ummm, purely to learn more about the craft of course.
And I want an introduction to Javier Bardem, Chris. I was devastated when he married Penelope and crushed my hopes.
